Bobby Smith of Rockin’ S Productions was the guest of honor at last Thursday’s weekly meeting of the Amite chapter of Kiwanis International and spent the afternoon promoting the Tangipahoa Parish Pro Rodeo that was held at the Florida Parishes Arena on June 17-18.
For over 40 years, people from Kentwood, Amite, Woodville, Centreville, and Osyka have been driving off the beaten path to Travis Road in Kentwood, Louisiana, for those famous “Day-licious” tomatoes. 
AMITE- It probably won’t come as a surprise to many people that Pete and Ann Danna met while singing in the church choir at the church parish in which they both grew up: Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw.
