21st District Court: Convictions - November 6, 2013

AMITE- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on November 6, 2013, before Judge Elizabeth Wolfe, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:
William Maus, age 48, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to distribution of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to serve two years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. He must also pay a $1,000.00 fine and court costs.
Daniel Mitchell, age 23, of Amite, LA, pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to serve two years with the department of corrections for each count, to be served concurrently. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. He must also pay a $500.00 fine and court costs.
Charles Ferguson, age 56, of Kentwood, LA, pleaded no contest to manufacturing a schedule I controlled dangerous substance. He was sentenced to serve five years with the department of corrections. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on three years of probation. He must also pay court costs.
Charles Murray, age 39, of Greensburg, LA, pleaded no contest to driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to serve five months in the parish jail.
