October 1 Convictions

21st Judicial District Court

 

Amite- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on October 1, 2013, before Judge Doug Hughes, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:
Olivia Graham, age 29, of Amite, LA, pleaded no contest to Aggravated Battery, and Cruelty to a Juvenile. Sentencing is scheduled for October 30, 2013.
Jason Leonard, age 39, of Amite, LA, pleaded no contest to Possession with Intent to distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances. Sentencing is scheduled for October 30, 2013.
David Pitts, age 35, of Amite, LA, was sentenced to serve five years with the department of corrections for Driving while Intoxicated (3rd offense).
David Pitts, age 35, of Amite, LA, was sentenced to serve seven years with the department of corrections.
Jeremy Coleman, age 32, of Tangipahoa, LA, pleaded no contest to Driving while Intoxicated (2nd offense). He was sentenced to serve six months in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on two years of probation. He must also pay a $750.00 fine and court costs, and complete special conditions of probation.
Larry Johnson, age 35, of Hammond, LA, pleaded no contest to Theft under $500.00. He was sentenced to serve six months in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on one year of probation. He must also pay court costs.
