The Kentwood Kangaroos are rolling into the Class 1A post season. The Roos finished the regular season on a very high note with their big 40-14 win over rival Southern Lab. The Roos captured the district 7-1A crown without suffering a loss in league play.

The Roos finished the season with a solid 8-2 record and Kentwood enters the post season with a five game win streak to their credit as well. For their efforts in the regular season the Kentwood Kangaroos will host a playoff game Friday night “Under the tank” in Kentwood.

The Kentwood Kangaroos enter the Class 1A playoffs as the seventh seeded team. The Roos will play host to 26th seeded Basile this Friday night. Should the Roos be victorious they would then move on to the regional round of the 1A playoffs on Friday night November 18th.

A win over Basile would give the Roos a shot to play their second round game at home as well. Kentwood would face the winner of the Westminster versus St. Mary Game in the Class 1A regional parings.

Westminster is the tenth seeded team while St. Mary is the 23th seed. If Westminster wins they would come to Kentwood. If St. Mary wins the Roos would have to hit the road to play St. Mary.

And if you’re looking further down the road a third round match-up should the Roos be still winning would be against either St. Edmund, Arcadia, Vermilion Catholic or Archbishop Hannan.
