Former LSU Basketball Coach Dale Brown spoke to students at Kentwood High Magnet School on Friday, reminding them of the importance of education. Using “hurdles” to describe obstacles that they may have to overcome to find their success, Brown encouraged students to avoid listening to those people that may hold them back from being able to accomplish things. He shared his own experiences to help them understand that regardless of their background, they can achieve success. Shown with Brown are Jadarrius Miller and Collis Temple. Miller is a student at Kentwood Magnet. Temple, a Kentwood graduate, is a former LSU basketball star.
