HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University and the Amite City Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar Friday, Aug. 24, on e-mail marketing for small businesses.
The free seminar, "The Power of E-mail Marketing for Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs," will be held at the Amite Chamber Office, located at 101 Southeast Central Avenue in Amite, from 9 to 11 a.m.
"Building relationships is one of the keys to success for business. One inexpensive and highly effective method to achieve this is with e-mail marketing," said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern SBDC. "This event will explore the basics of what e-mail marketing is, why it works so well, how it easily integrates with social networking sites, and how to use it in business planning and marketing strategy to achieve special goals."
Summers said the session also will teach participants how to master e-mail marketing communications with a comprehensive look at best practices and winning strategies for getting and keeping quality subscribers, increasing deliverability and open rates, writing good headlines and content, saving time, getting readers to take action, and more.
The seminar is suitable for all experience levels, Summers added. Anyone interested in learning more about e-mail marketing for businesses/group/organizations is welcome to attend.
The class will be instructed by Brian Walker, local consultant for Constant Contact. His business, 5 Stones Media, focuses on website design, branding, e-mail marketing, social media and sharing knowledge through teaching workshops and classes to other business owners.
