At approximately 10:00 a.m this morning a call was made to dispatch at St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office concerning a body floating in the creek on Museum Road just outside of Greensburg. According to reports the victim was involved in an altercation last night at Hall bar which is located not far from where the body was found. Sheriff Nat Williams reported that there is already a suspect in custody at the St. Helena Parish Jail. The van that the suspect was driving was confiscated by the authorities and is being sent off to the crime lab in Baton Rouge for further investigation. More news on this story will be updated as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Two suspects have been arrested in this case. 59 year-old Isiah Grady of 48 Ard Road in Greensburg and 58 year-old Robert Baker of 1258 McDaniel Road in Amite. Grady is charged with second degree murder and is still in custody at the St. Helena Parish Jail. Baker is charged with Accessory after the fact and he bonded out of the St. Helena Parish Jail on Tuesday, September 11 . The victim was also identified as Johnny Gilbert. Reports indicate that on Friday, September 7 the victim and the two suspects had an altercation at Hall Bar before they left together in Gradys van. The three got about a block away from the bar when Grady stopped the van and they continued to argue near the creek on Hall/Museum Road where the body was found. The van is still being processed at the crime lab in Baton Rouge. The St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office is waiting for the results from the crime lab. The investigation is on-going and information on this case will be updated as it becomes available.
