Samuel Richard Weaver, Sr., 48, and a lifelong resident of Roseland. Weaver lost his life as the result of an automobile accident on December 23, 2008. Samuel was a member of Masonic Lodge 458 of Independence and an avid fisherman indeed, but his greatest love was for his family. He was employed by Diamond Services Corporation as a licensed crew boat captain and he was a member of Merchant Marines through the United States Coast Guard. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A private memorial service was held at an earlier date.

Samuel is survived by his wife, Amanda C. Alford Weaver of Roseland; four loving sons, Samuel Richard Weaver, Jr. and wife Rebecca Wascom of Greensburg, Chase Xylon Weaver of Dallas, Georgia, Casey Trevor Alford and Carson Dallas Weaver , both of Roseland. He leaves behind his devoted parents, Herbert Payne Weaver, Sr. and Barbara Ann Murray Weaver; brother Herbert Weaver, Jr. of Tupelo, Mississippi and sister Kerri Weaver Brown and husband Ricky; his precious grandson and granddaughter, Gauge Leo-Payne Weaver and Harleigh Jo-Lynn Weaver along with special nieces, Trisha and Heather.

He was preceding in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Thelma Berry Murray and his paternal grandparents, Word and Sue Tubb Harden.
