The Town of Independence is hosting Independence Day in Downtown Independence on July 4th from 3 p.m. til 10 p.m. The day will include live music, water rides, apple pie contest judging at 5 p.m. and the fireworks finale at 9 p.m. Hotdogs, hamburgers, snowballs, soft drinks, water and other beverages will be sold during the festivities. Join in the family fun on the 4th in downtown Independence sponsored by the Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival.
